Dr. Volker Anhäusser
Born in 1955 in Speyer, Volker Anhäusser studied law in Frankfurt and Mainz. He taught law at the University of Mannheim and was admitted to the Bar in Mannheim and Heidelberg, before forming Anhäusser, Unger & Bergien, based in Karlsruhe.
The law firm founded a subsidiary in Halle / Saale an der Saale and formed branches in Pforzheim and Ulm. Internationally, it collaborated with Pollet & Richardson (later Richardson & Patel LLC (Los Angeles and New York), which later merged with Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp (Los Angeles).
Dr. Anhäusser’s fields of specialisation are Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Corporate Finance, Contracts, Corporate & Commercial Law, IT & Software Law, and Conflict of Laws.
For a decade, Dr. Anhäusser was chair / vice-chair of the Bundesverband Junger Unternehmer (National Association for Young Entrepreneurs) for the region of Mittelbaden. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of STAAR Surgical Inc. (USA), CANON STAAR Inc. (Japan) and CDV Software Inc. (USA); on the Supervisory Board for You Smile.de AG and Bestmalz AG; and chair of the Supervisory Board for W 2 O Medizintechnik AG, Tickets / S AG, and Group Technologies AG (all Germany).
Volker Anhäusser co-founded the German-American Business House for Technology of the Karlsruhe Region, in cooperation with the German-American Chamber of Commerce for the Western USA in San Diego, the city of Karlsruhe and the law firm Anhäusser, Unger & Bergien.
He is a member of the German-American Lawyers’ Association, the German-Italian Lawyers’ Association, the American German Business Club and the Familienunternehmer e.V., an association representing family-owned businesses.
