Felix Gygli
baritone, HZF scholar in Zurich
Felix received his training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He honed his skills at the Samling Institute for Young Artists and as a member of the National Opera Studio Young Artists’ Programme. In 2023, he participated in the Atelier Lyrique of the Verbier Festival, where he was awarded the Prix Thierry Mermod for most promising singer. In January 2024, he took part in the Carnegie Hall SongStudio under the patronage of Renée Fleming. A passionate Lieder singer, Felix regularly performs in recitals in the UK, France, and Switzerland. He won First Prize at the 68th Kathleen Ferrier competition at Wigmore Hall, accompanied by pianist, JongSun Woo.
Felix is a HZF scholar at the International Opera Studio of the Zurich Opera House. He will appear in several productions next year, most notably as Phileas Fogg in the world premiere of Around the World in 80 Days by Jonathan Dove.
