Eleomar Cuello
baritone, HZF scholar in New York
A native of Havana, Cuba, Eleomar Cuello began his career while still a teenager, performing on stage with the Academy of the National Lyric Theatre of Cuba, where would pursue his studies. In 2023, Eleomar was enrolled in the Merola Opera program of San Francisco Opera. That same year, he reached the Grand Finals of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition. Eleomar is currently in his second year at the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Met. During the 2024–25 season, he will appear as the Bullfighter in Ainadamar and Fiorello in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Met, Schaunard in La Bohème at Opera Maine, and Silvio in Pagliacci at Utah Opera.
