Greta Doveri
Born and raised in Buti (Province of Pisa), Greta Doveri received her diploma from the Augusto Passaglia Music Liceo. One year into a three-year programme at the Luigi Boccherini Conservatory in her hometown, she won a Pierluigi Guidi Prize scholarship and enrolled at the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory, Cremona, under the guidance of Maria Billeri.
In 2018, she debuted in the roles of Mimi and Musetta at the Teatro Goldoni of Florence as part of the “Ciak! Bohème” project of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and joined its Young Artists Programme 2020-21.
Greta Doveri has won numerous prizes and awards, including: 1st Prize at the International Opera Competition “Voci In…canto”; 1st Prize and Best Young Singer in the Nicolai Ghiaurov International Competition; Best Female Voice in the Spiros Argiris Opera Competition; the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino prize; the role of Mimi at the Città di Matera – Capitale della Cultura Competition; 1st place in the Giorgio Fregosi Competition; the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Trieste prize; 1st place and 1st prize at the Aldobrandeschi Musical Competition; Emerging Voices category winner and Audience 1st Prize at the AsLiCo competition in 2021.
Greta Doveri was admitted to the La Scala Opera Academy of the 20121-22 season. She debuted on the La Scala stage in 2022 as Clorinda in La Cenerentola per i bambini and sang the role of Carolina in Il matrimonio segreto by Domenico Cimarosa in the Piermarini Hall. She will be back on stage October 2022 – March 2023 as the Fox in Il piccolo principe [The Little Prince], a children’s opera composed by Pierangelo Valtinoni for the Teatro alla Scala. In November/December 2022, she is at the Teatro Sociale of Bergamo in Chiara e Serafina as part of the Donizetti Opera Festival.
